If you broke the little plastic bits inside, you are either careless or you just bought an item that presumed you knew more than you did.

You shouldn't leave a negative review for user error. All products are not required to be idiot-proof. Tested 12 drives 4 sata 8 ide.all known working drives. Sata 3 of 4 worked fine, good transfer rate using USB. IDE NONE WORKED. Brands were Maxtor, Seagate and WD. The power connector for IDE is far right for some reason (maybe compatibility), on the bottom of the unit is a slide to move it which works but is spring loaded to return to the far right when you remove the drive.

Setup was a snap, I just plugged it into the computer (Windows 7), turned it on and Windows found the driver for it automatically.
